Emergency dentist near you — and how to pay.
UNO is a fee-for-service PPO practice — we don't accept Medi-Cal / Medicaid directly. But if you're facing a real emergency and worried about cost, here's what we can actually do.
Three real affordability paths.
CareCredit: 0% APR for 6, 12, 18, or 24 months on dental treatment, approval in minutes. HFD Patient Payment Plans: fixed monthly payments up to 60 months. GleamBar Whitening Membership: $99.99/month covers unlimited cleanings, exams, and X-rays — built for patients without PPO insurance.
If you need Medi-Cal, here's where to go.
Medi-Cal Dental covers basic and emergency care. UCSF School of Dentistry and SF Community Health Center are the closest Medi-Cal-accepting providers to Jackson Square.
When to call us anyway.
If your emergency is severe pain, swelling, or trauma — call 415-397-2804 first. We'll triage on the phone, tell you what to do until you can get seen, and recommend the most accessible option for your situation.
Common questions.
Do you ever take Medicaid?
No — we're not enrolled with Medi-Cal. We're transparent about that so you don't waste a trip.
How much does an emergency visit cost out of pocket?
A limited exam and focused X-ray ranges from $150–$250. Treatment cost depends on what's needed. Every plan is given in writing before work begins.
Is there a sliding scale?
Not formally — but we'll always discuss financing options before you decide anything.
In pain and worried about cost?
Call us — we'll be honest about what we can do for you, and where to go if we're not the right fit today.
